Dr. Daniel Plá is a lecturer at the Performing Arts department of the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, where he leads a research group on performance art, training and mindfulness. He has been studying the relation between an actor’s training and Buddhist meditation, and his research interests span psychophysical training, meditation, theatre pedagogy, contemplative pedagogy, mindfulness and creative processes, Jerzy Grotowski and the art as vehicle, practice as research.
